NAS Access for Finalists
You do not need a NAS to enter Round 1. UGREEN will give each Finalist one assigned testing day of free remote access to a UGREEN AI NAS iDX6011 Pro (64GB), between November 22 and November 28. UGREEN will email each Finalist their login details, testing date, and setup steps. You do not need to buy a NAS or apply for access. Use the NAS only to install, test, and record your Skill for this Hackathon.
FAQs
Do I need a UGREEN NAS to enter?
No. For Round 1, you need the UGREEN Skill Developer Package. Download it here. Use it to build your Skill. Then submit your PDF and your Pre-test Skill Package (ZIP). Finalists will get free remote access to a UGREEN AI NAS in Round 2.
How does the Hackathon work?
The Hackathon has two rounds:
- Round 1 (open to all): Build your Skill with the Skill Developer Package. Submit your PDF and Pre-test Skill Package by November 15.
- Round 1 Judging: UGREEN checks each submission against the rules. Judges then score the eligible projects. Up to 30 projects become Finalists.
- Round 2 (Finalists only): UGREEN emails each Finalist a private submission link and NAS login details. Each Finalist gets one assigned testing day on a real UGREEN AI NAS to test their Skill. Finalists then submit their final Skill and a demo video by November 30.
- Round 2 Judging: Judges score the Finalist projects and choose the winners.
Can I enter as a team?
Yes. Teams can have up to three people. Each team must choose one Representative to submit for the team.
Can I submit a project I started before the Hackathon?
Yes. You may build on an idea conceived before the Hackathon, but the submitted Skill and its core workflow must be newly developed during the Hackathon. Previously developed Skills or submission materials may not be reused. You may use properly authorized third-party development tools and resources, subject to the technical requirements and applicable licenses.
How much code do I need for Round 1?
Your Initial Skill Package must meet the file structure and technical requirements in the Official Rules, but it does not need to be fully installable or operational on UGREEN AI NAS at this stage. Local test results are optional.
Can I edit my submission after the deadline?
You may edit your materials before the applicable deadline. After each deadline, keep that roundβs submitted materials unchanged, except as expressly permitted under the Official Rules. Finalists may continue developing the same Skill for Round 2, but must retain their original Round 1 materials.
Which track should I pick?
Pick the one track that best fits your Skill. Tracks help judges understand your idea. All prizes are open to every track.
What should my demo video include?
Provide a link to a public YouTube video of no more than 3 minutes, using English narration or complete English subtitles. Record the Skill operating on your assigned UGREEN AI NAS during your assigned testing day, and show its core workflow, key capabilities, and actual results. Keep the video focused and concise.
Can I use AI tools?
Yes. You can use AI coding assistants and other standard development tools. You must list every AI tool you used, and how you used it, in your disclosures.
Our advice: be human where it counts. Many projects now sound the same because AI wrote them. Judges want to hear your ideas in your own words. Use AI to help you where you need help, or to speed up slow tasks.

Can my Skill send data to outside services?
Your Skill may transmit data to cloud AI services supported by Uliya when necessary for AI processing, subject to platform permissions and data security requirements. You should use synthetic or appropriately anonymized test data.
Do not send real personal, private or confidential information, sensitive NAS files, account credentials or API keys to external services. Unauthorized external transfers, direct calls to unsupported third-party APIs and attempts to bypass platform security controls are prohibited.
Identify external services and data flows in your Proposal, and comply with applicable third-party terms and licenses.
